Pre-crisis housing sales volumes for Russians in Antalya may recover by the end of 2017, city’s Mayor, Menderes Turel, said at a meeting with Russian reporters.
“Of course, when the sanctions came into effect, demand for housing in Antalya declined on the part of Russians. More specifically, over the course of several months the sales ceased completely. Now they are gradually recovering, and we expect to recover the previous sales volume at most for a year.
According to him, at present, 60,000 items of property in Antalya and its suburbs have been purchased by foreign citizens. At the same time, about 70% of them belong to Russians. For the previous year only, Russian citizens acquired in the city about 15,000 items of property.
