Turkmenistan considers an opportunity to build a logistic center in the Russian region of Astrakhan, from where commodities will be directed to diverse regions, the press office of the head of the region told Interfax news agency on Friday.
“We discussed a number of issues, over which positive and rapid decisions are expected. First of all, the matter concerns opening of a wholesale logistics center of Turkmenistan on the territory of the Astrakhan region,” the press office's representative cited A. Zhilkin, who headed the region's delegation during celebration of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
According to him, the center opening will help to develop “North-South” transportation corridor.
