Gazprom, a Russian oil giant, sees new areas of cooperation with Japan, the company’s CEO, Alexey Miller, told reporters.




“Japan is one of the world’s largest energy markets. We see new opportunities, projects and areas of cooperation with Japanese companies,” said Alexey Miller.

Gazprom delegates take part in a summit of leaders of the member states of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Lima.

Within the framework of the summit, Mr. Miller participated in the meetings of Russian President, Vladimir Putin, with President of Vietnam, Tran Dai Quang, President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

As it was specified in the company’s press release, “over the course of the meetings, in particular, the issues of current and perspective cooperation in the field of energy have been discussed.”
