Japanese expect Putin to visit country on December, 15

A working visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Japan will take place on 15-16 December.




According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Putin will hold meetings with his counterpart, the country’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo, the capital city, as well as in Nagato, the city located in Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan.

The visit of Russian President will further strengthen Russian-Japanese relations, as it was said in a statement released on Thursday by the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

“The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pay an official working visit to Japan on December 15-16. We expect that President Putin's visit will promote further development of Japanese-Russian relations”, - the document reads.

Earlier in December, the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fumio Kishida, paid a visit to Russia and met with Vladimir Putin on the 2nd of December.
