Starbucks, a U.S. company owning the world's largest coffee chain, plans to open 12 new outlets worldwide in the next five years, the company’s statement says.
The plan includes a program to increase the number of coffee houses in China from 2,300 to 5,000 by 2021. The corresponding document was published in November.
A total number of Starbucks’ coffee houses all around the world will increase by 48% to around 37,000. In 2011, there were less than 12,000 of them.
In addition, the company has published financial targets for the next five years. As expected, the revenue will grow by 10% per year, while profit per share will see an increase of 15-20% per year.
