With the reference to the majority of the experts’ poll, Bloomberg agency reports on the growth of the rouble by 5-10% in case the sanctions against Russia are cancelled.
According to the less probable scenario, the rouble growth against the dollar will make 1-5%. 41% of the agency’srespondents made such forecast.
Bank of America Corp. Economists think that the rouble will take an advantage of the sanctions’ cancel and will reach 55-57 roubles a dollar. The analysts of Societe Generale admit in their research, Bloomberg refers to, that the rouble rate will “surpass all expectations” and will be lower than 50 roubles a dollar. They also think that the Bank of Russia will start currency intervention then to adjust the risks for financial steadiness.
