"Gazprom" bought 50% more of the Nord Stream 2 AG’ shares. The companyis to deal with designing, construction and future operation of the “Nord Stream - 2” main pipeline.




As Construction.RU has been told today by the press office of the Russian gas giant, Gazprom’s share now totals 100%, or 60,000 share carrying voting rights. The first 50% package of Nord Stream 2 AG was bought by Gazprom in December.

To remind you, the Nord Stream 2 AG Headquarters is situated in Swiss Zug. First the companies of Engie, OMV, Shell, Uniper and Wintershall were supposed to become share-holders of Nord Stream 2 (with 10% shares). But due to Poland’s negative position the creation of a joint venture was rejected.

The final structure of the project has not been determined yet. The “Nord Stream - 2" project includes the construction of two pipelines with the capacity of 55bln cubic meters of gas a year, from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea.
