Today, at about 10.00, local time, a powerful explosion took place in the machine room of the Flamanville NPP in the north-west of France
As local media report, the incident took place outside the nuclear reactor zone. Some people are being treated for smoke inhalation after the explosion. Authorities say there is 'no nuclear risk'. It is not clear yet if it was a terrorist act or a technological accident. Emergency services were at the scene, where a fire was burning.
