Air Liquide, a French company the world’s leader in the market of industrial gases, announced the termination of its operation in the Donbas, namely, on the territories that are not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, Interfax reports on Monday.
A subsidiary of Air Liquide that is expected to shutdown is PJSC Air Liquide Yenakiyevo located in the war-struck Donetsk region of Ukraine. The French company had to resort to this measure following the decision of the authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic on imposing a temporary administration at the enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction.
“Air Liquide will no longer be able to continue its ongoing activities in the region”, the company’s statement reads.
