The Moldovan government will soon pass a resolution, according to which, starting from June 1, the investors who have injected a certain amount of money in the country's economy, will be granted citizenship and the right for visa-free entry into the EU.
This is what the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, announced at a business conference “Russia — Moldova: Extension of Business Cooperation”.
According to President Dodon, at the end of last year, the Parliament of Moldova adopted a ruling, which may be of special interest for Russian investors.
“When investing a certain amount in Moldova’s economy — I think that next week a relative decision will be adopted by the government — $100-150 thousand or $200 thousand, the investor receives Moldovan citizenship,” he said.
Mr. Dodon stressed that it could be interesting for Russian citizens not only from a business point of view, but also as a way to facilitate their entry into the EU.
