At least 63 people from the Russian Federation own real estate in luxury skyscrapers in South Florida, which belong to the U.S. President Donald Trump, CNBC TV channel reported, citing the journalist investigation.

It is noted that the matter concerns buyers with the Russian citizenship or with a residence permit in Russia, who purchased real estate totaling $98.4 million. It is Florida that was selected for the investigation, as there are many property items built by Donald Trump. Apart from that, it is easier to establish property owners in this state, than in other parts of the United States.

The American media emphasizes that the number of Russian buyers may be much greater, but in some cases it’s quite difficult to find out who owns the property. In addition, the research didn’t include those Russians who had not used their Russian passport or a residence permit when registering ownership.
