Russian Gazprom and Italian Eni signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of the development of the Southern Corridor of gas supplies from Russia to Europe, as well as in the area of analysis of cooperation prospects in modernization of contracts for gas supply from Russia to Italy, according to the Russian company’s press release.
“The document reflects the interest of the parties in analyzing the prospects of cooperation in the development of the Southern Corridor of gas supplies from Russia to Europe, particularly, to Italy, and the modernization of contracts for the supply of Russian gas to the Republic”, — the message says.
As a representative from Gazprom Export told RIA Novosti, the modernization of contracts will concern “only changes in points of delivery in the context of the Southern Corridor of supplies”.
The memorandum was signed by Chairman of Gazprom’s Board, Alexey Miller, and General Manager of Eni, Claudio Descalzi.
