Russian Sberbank allocates $52m to support small businesses in Far East

In 2017, Sberbank intends to allocate 3 billion rubles ($52 million) in 2017 within the framework of the preferential crediting program for small and medium business, launched jointly with the Development Fund of Far East and Baikal Region.




This statement was made by senior Vice-President of the bank, Anatoly Popov, in an interview with Rambler News.

“From the beginning of the program’s implementation, 170 loans totaling to 1,965 billion rubles have been granted. We expect the expansion of the program up to 5 billion rubles in 2017, what will allow to credit additional 1000 companies”, — Popov said.

The program “Affordable Credit for Small and Medium Enterprises” was launched in November 2016.
