Tonight, operation of the Kryvorozhskaya thermal power plant was fully stopped in Ukraine due to the shortage of anthracite coal.
According to DTEK company owned by billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, to which the station belongs, only operating power unit was stopped at the facility. However, the plant still has obligatory reserves in the volume of 30 million tons of coal in case of any emergency in the Ukrainian energy system.
