OKRA, the Dutch Aarchitecture Bureau, will become a consultant over the improvement of 29 cities of Russia, as it follows from a message released by Strelka construction bureau, which is a single project office of the improvement program.
“Within the framework of a joint urban development program of Strelka construction bureau and Foundation of unified housing development institute, design projects are being elaborated for the improvement of key public spaces in 40 cities of Russia with a total population of 29 million people. One of the consultants of the project is Dutch Architectural Bureau of OKRA, which helps to work out design projects for the improvement of public spaces in 29 participant cities,” the press release reads.
The document says that OKRA has already realized a large number of projects for embankments in different cities of Europe, such as Cutty Sark Gardens in London and the city center of Rotterdam. Therefore, the company will act as a curator of the embankments improvement in Russia’s projects.
