The number of fast food restaurants under the brand of Subway in Russia can reach one thousand outlets by 2020, the President of Subway Russia Franchising Company, James Gansinger, told Interfax on Friday.
“If there is economic growth, we will see the thousandth restaurant in Russia by 2020. We see all preconditions for that,” he said.
Currently, there are 614 Subway restaurants operating in Russia. Thus, by 2020, their number may increase by 1,6 times.
“Now there are a lot of money. I mean our franchise, but they are tight with them. Everything will depend on economic situation,” James Gansinger said.
According to him, the company’s revenue in Russia had a tendency to decline in recent years. By the end of 2016, it fell by 5% compared to 2015.
