A consortium with the participation of Austrian company of Strabag has been awarded a contract for the construction and reconstruction of 20.4 kilometers of road in Hungary.
The peculiarity of this infrastructure object is that the road is designed to sound when a car drives along it, according to a press release from the company.
This is a section of R67 high-speed highway, where 10.3 kilometers will be built all over again, and 10.1 kilometers are planned to be reconstructed and expanded.
Over the course of the construction activities, the road will be covered with small ditches at a certain distance from each other, so that at the moment of vehicles’ movement along the track at a prescribed speed (110 miles per hour), a song titled “Route 67” of Hungarian rock group The Republic will sound.
