The Rosneft integrated oil company, most of the shares of which are owned by the Government of Russia, plans to construct integrated oil, gas and chemical plants with a total ethylene output of 6-7m tons per year.
This was announced on Thursday at a press conference in Moscow by an advisor of the “Rosneft” state corporation’s president, Igor Soglaev.
At the same time, he said that “Rosneft” is examining the construction of a pyrolysis plant for 2m tons of ethylene in the Samara region. The enterprise will operate with raw materials mined in the fields of Western Siberia (“Rospan”), Samara and the Orenburg region.
This project will become a part of the “Eastern oil, gas and chemical company”. The enterprise’s products are destined for the domestic market and will be intended for consumers in the automobile and construction sectors.
