In the course of its operation, the “Platon” system has brought more than 3.3 bln roubles to the federal budget.
This is what the first deputy Minister of Transport, Evgeny Ditrikh, has said at a press conference. According to him, these funds will be allocated to help regions with roads repairs and construction work, because only 37% of regional highways are in a normal condition.
On the whole, the “Platon” system is functioning well. In turn, the head of Rosavtodor, Roman Starovoyt, said that 655,000 vehicles have been registered in the system.
This is more than 95% of heavy vehicles owned by large and medium-sized companies in Russia. To remind you, the state system of charging vehicles with a mass of more than 12 tons started operating in Russia on November 15. The penalty for non-payment is 5,000 roubles.
