Russian railway bypassing Ukraine to be completed by Day of Railroad Troops

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the construction work on the railway bypassing Ukraine will be completed by the 6th of August, the Day of Railroad Troops.




This is what the First Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, Ruslan Tsalikov, said following his arrival at the initiation ceremony of the railway construction. As grounds for confidence, the official mentioned, “the advanced technologies, high professional skills and sense of responsibility of the military railway personnel”.

Under the instruction of the Defense Minister, Sergey Shoigu, his first deputy thanked the military railway personnel for “good quality, fast work”

For his part, the vice president of “Russian Railways” JSC, Oleg Toni, noted that, at the moment, there have been no failures and the work is proceeding according to plan. He added that some days ago, the modernization of the “Zhuravka” railway station was completed.

6 new stations are planned to be built and 2 reconstructed on this railway section. The route is intended to connect the Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as to lessen the burden at the existing one.
