Russian Railways has approved a final plan to construct, by 2020, a high-speed main railway line connecting Chelyabinsk and Ekaterinburg.
As Construction.ru was told today by the press office of Russian Railways, work at the construction site will cost 122.6 bln roubles. The railway line will built in three phases.
The first part of the plan involves the construction of a road between Chelyabinsk and Ekaterinburg, which in due course will turn into part of the Moscow – Beijing line. The entire program by Russian Railways of the main railway line construction is estimated at 4.9 trillion roubles.
This includes laying sections between Moscow and Ekaterinburg, Moscow and Adler, and Moscow and Saint- Petersburg.
