In the mountains of the Dagestan Republic, the construction of a motorway has started with the use of a unique road building technology usually applied to Formula-1 race tracks.
The satellite system of 3D-grading is being applied at the construction of the Grozny – Botlikh – Khunzakh – Arakanskaya platform road sections with a length of 110 – 117 km, the local media reported on Friday. This means the object can be put into operation as soon as at the end of 2016.
This technology will allow for the execution of the work with a high level of precision at any ground relief. The point position in space is determined to within 1 mm.
Within 2 years, the system will be expanded to other road construction projects.
