Governors of the Russian regions might lose their cabinet post if they fail to fulfil the program for dilapidated housing resettlement.

This is what the Construction, Housing and Utilities Minister of Russia, Mikhail Menn, told reporters on Monday in Moscow. He also reminded us of the sorry plight of one of the governors.

The federal government noticed long ago that as soon as a governor stops duly implementing the program, troubles emerge.

Meanwhile, an unconditional deadline for dilapidated housing resident resettlement is the 1st of September, 2017.

The heads of most Russian regions are taking their commitment to fulfill the task seriously, said Mikhail Menn.
