In the middle of this year, the design work on the seawater hydraulic structures of Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey will be completed. The facility is being constructed with the participation of Russia.
This is what the director for legal and corporate issues at Rosatom’s project company, Akkuyu Nuclear, Ilya Smirnov, said on Wednesday at the “Atomexpo-2016” forum.
He reminded us that the contract for designing and constructing seawater hydraulic structures is one of 16 which the Russian contractor general, Atomstroyexpo, plans to conclude with a number of companies.
As for the organization itself, it will sign a framework contract on the station’s construction and project management. Intergovernmental agreement between Turkey and Russia on the construction and exploitation of Akkuyu nuclear power plant was signed in 2010.
Investments in the construction project will amount $20 bln.
