Sisecam Group of companies from Turkey, which has already invested over $300 m in two plants producing glass in “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, intends to increase its investment by $150 m in the region.
This is what a director general of the Group, Akhmet Kyrman, told reporters in Yelabug on Tuesday. At the same time, he specified the terms of investments and added that all would depend on dynamics of the Russian market development.
Nevertheless, the production expansion is the Holding’s strategy, which leadership sets a task to enter the leaders' triad of the world largest auto glass producers. That is why, at present, Sisecam has already invested over $1,1 bln in the construction of enterprises in Russia and considers a number of new potential projects.
