Hyatt Hotels' shares rose are by 3.28% to $52.60 this morning, when the company reported its earnings of 64 cents per share for the second quarter, thestreet.com reports.
This figure exceeded experts' expectations, who forecast 47 cents per share. It's revenue totals $1.6 billion.
According to Hyatt Hotels CEO Mark S. Hoplamazian, despite some challenges, outlook for the overall business remains positive. “In line with current trends, we are revising expectations for comparable system-wide RevPAR growth to a range of approximately 2% to 3% for the year.” he added.
Earlier, Hyatt Hotels projected system-wide RevPAR to increase between 3% to 5%. Besides of that, the company lowered its capital expenditures forecast to $260 million from $275 million.
