On Wednesday, IKEA Corporation put into operation a factory producing furniture in the Russian city of Veliky Novgorod.
The investments into construction works at the site, as well as into the factory’s equipment amounted to 4 bln roubles, the press office of IKEA Industry incorporated in Inter IKEA Group told Construction.RU on the 7th of September.
Production capacity of this furniture factory, which is planned to be reached by the year 2018, is 7 million items per year.
We should remind you that a plant manufacturing wood chip boards is located in the vicinity of a new factory. The facility was built in 2013.
IKEA plans to invest in development of business in Russia a total amount of 100 bln roubles.
