Swedish retailer of furniture and household products opens the first store in several years located in the Moscow region.
For this purpose, IKEA Centers Russia managing MEGA and IKEA malls acquired a plot of land located on Kashirskoye highway, a deputy director general of IKEA Centers Russia, Milen Genchev, told Vedomosti newspaper.
A 12 hectares plot of land is situated outside the Moscow Ring Road, in the area of 23rd kilometer of Kashirskoye highway. On this land plot the Russia’s first separate IKEA store will be erected.
“We are planning to put it into operation in 2018, more likely in the second half of the year”, said Genchev.
The land plot purchased by IKEA might cost 500-750m roubles depending on the availability of the utility systems and other factors, as it was assessed by Colliers International partner, Stanislav Bibik.
