Today, a German delegation, comprised of 20 representatives from business circles, incumbent parliament members and politicians, arrived in the Russian Republic of Crimea.
The purpose of the visit is the public diplomacy, the local media reports. The delegation from Germany also includes two businessmen engaged in construction of bridges and roads.
A meeting between the delegates and the head of Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, is scheduled for the 25th of October.
We should remind you that formally German government endorses the EU and US sanctions imposed against Russia following its reunification with Crimea.
As a reference, in March 2014, a referendum was held in Crimea on the issue of reunification with Russia with the majority of the peninsula’s population having expressed their will to join Russia.
