A four-star Courtyard by Marriott hotel is scheduled to be opened in mid-2018 on the territory of the former Zalgiris stadium in Vilnius, the capital and the largest city of Lithuania.
Hanner developer company will be engaged in construction of the object. On Friday, Hanner signed a contract of franchising with international hotel chain Marriott International. In case of the project’s successful implementation, this will be the first hotel of Marriott chain in the Baltics.
“Having explored the market, we see that the most popular hotels in Lithuania are four-star ones, their occupancy rate is five-six time higher, than in hotels of a higher category. That is why we decided that this trade mark will suit the local market,” Chairman of Hanner Boards of Directors, Arvidas Avulis announced at a press conference on Wednesday.
