IKEA Centers Russia, which is managing MEGA and IKEA retail complexes, has selected a plot of land for construction of its third shopping center in the Leningrad region, Vedomosti newspaper reports.
The company will purchase a plot of land in Anninsky rural settlement of the Lomonosov district located in the Russian region of Leningrad. Negotiations on the purchase have been held since 2015, two sources from the local administration told Vedomosti. However, IKEA’s press office decline to comment.
At present, two shopping centers operate on the territory of the Leningrad region. These are MEGA Dybenko with an area of 180,000 square meters and 130,000 square-meter MEGA Parnas.
New shopping center is intended to become the largest one owned by IKEA Group in Russia.
