The railway bypassing Ukraine will be put in operation on the 15th of August 2017, that is a year ahead of schedule, a Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, Dmitry Bulgakov, told reporters.
“Railway communication at Zhuravka – Millerovo section will be opened on the 15th of August 2017. This day, first trains with passengers and cargo will start running along the double electrified railroad branch,” said Dmitry Bulgakov over the course of his working trip to the Voronezh region to control the progress of building the railway bypassing Ukraine.
According to him, in view of this, the task set by Russian President over railway construction carried out by the Railroad Troops and the Russian Railways will be completed ahead of time, more than a year ahead of schedule.
