Rosatom to build plant producing carbon raw material in Tatarstan

On Friday, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Alexey Likhachev signed an agreement construction of an enterprise producing carbon raw materials in Alabuga special economic zone.




The document was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Rosatom will invest 4.8 billion rubles in the plant construction project worth 6.9 billion rubles, while Alabuga managing company will act as a co-investor. Rosatom’s affiliated companies will operate at the site on a rental basis.

The plant will produce 5,000 tons of carbon raw materials, its capacity’s perspectives involve the issue of up to 25,000 tons of products per year. At present, there is already one plant among the SEZ residents, which belongs to Rosatom State Corporation.
