The Japanese company Mitsubishi will resume the production of Pajero Sport SUV at a plant PSMA Rus located in the Kaluga region, Russia, the region’s Governor Anatoly Artamonov told TASS news agency on Monday.
“It was decided to resume the production of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport at PSMA Rus in Kaluga, that was suspended in 2016,” the Governor said, without specifying deadlines.
However, the company’s press office has not commented so far the announced changes in the production. As previously reported, after Mitsubishi Pajero Sport had been withdrawn from the production, the model was supplied in Russia from a factory in Thailand. Then, the company attributed this to the intention to test a new brand in different markets and assess a potential interest in it.
