The head of the Energy Ministry of Russia, Alexander Novak, has called actions of the European Commission regarding the construction of a Russian pipeline within Nord Stream 2 project an “outright sabotage.”
Speaking today before reporters in Istanbul, the Russian Minister has brought this accusation due to the interference of the EU highest executive body in business negotiations. In particular, Alexander Novak has noted that an outright sabotage of economically feasible and infrastructure projects, which are attractive to consumers, is plain to see.
He provided an example of Nord Stream 2 project. We should remind you that earlier, the European Commission has already prepared a draft mandate for negotiating with Russia over this pipeline.
