Funds in the amount of 114 billion rubles ($1,9 billion) are planned to be allocated this year for capital construction on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
This is what Deputy Head of the military department, Timur Ivanov, told Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, on the 18th of April, 2018.
According to him, the bulk of financing in the amount of 93,9 billion rubles ($1,5 billion) falls on the construction of military facilities. In particular, the matter concerns objects of the airfield network, berthing complexes, and airfields. Also, the construction of social facilities will be financed from these funds.
