A gigantic floating raft of garbage and household waste was formed at the mouth of the Bodrog River located in Slovakia, Mukachevo.net reported on Thursday.

The garbage raft length amounts to 200 meters and, according to environmentalists, was the result of accumulated debris from Ukraine. The Bodrog River originates in the East Slavic Lowland at a confluence of Latoritsa and Ondava Rivers, with Latoritsa flowing through the territory of both Slovakia and Ukraine.

Moreover, in the case of an increase in precipitation in the region, the situation will only worsen and the problem will affect the neighboring state — Hungary.

One of Hungary’s local residents published photos of the river, noting that Ukraine is not able to solve the problem with sorting its own garbage.
