Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Moscow Urban Forum and said that the city authorities had “grandiose plans” for the development of Russian capital.
“I hope they all will be implemented”, the President concluded. Speaking at the forum, the head of state noted that Moscow had turned into a “trendsetter” in urban development. At the same time, he stressed that need to introduce technologies of environmental protection in the process of urban development.
“A modern city for people is primarily a city of ecological well-being. This means a city without landfills, with clean air and pure water”, Putin said.
Also, Vladimir Putin highlighted that the country has 900 cities with populations of less than 100,000 inhabitants, so the local authorities' task is to reveal the potential of these cities by competing in creating a comfortable urban environment.
