Today at the largest Moscow airport, "Domodedovo", the head of the Russian Border, Konstantin Busygin, and the management of the airport put into operation the east passenger terminal with an atrium.
According to the media, the atrium, 22 m high, is unique in Russia. The new segment of the terminal, 6 thousand sq.m, is intended for passengers on international flights. The number of channels of passport control in Domodedovo for departures will grow to 80. This will significantly reduce the time needed to pass through passport control. Its capacity will increase by 1,200 passengers an hour. Also to be found in this new area are a larger departure and arrival zone for international airlines, conference rooms and waiting rooms, a new VIP hall for the airport, restaurants and cafes, fountains and an exhibition platform.
