The gas-compressor stations of “The Power of Siberia” gas pipe-line under construction will be named after Russian Cossack pioneers of the 17th century.
“Gazprom” Chairman of the Board Alexei Miller announced the news at the annual meeting of shareholders. According to him, it is to show respect to the people who started reclaiming Siberian resources. The names of these brave people are Ivan Rebrov, Petr Beketov, Maxim Perfilyev, Ivan Moskvitin, Vassily Poyarkov, Yerofey Khabarov, and Vassily Kolesnikov.
“The Power of Siberia” gas pipeline is more than 3,000 km long, and its export efficiency is 38 bln m3 of gas a year.
