Prime-Minister of the RF Dmitry Medvedev suggested passing the functions and tasks of the Ministry of the Crimea to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the RF.

This suggestion was sounded at the meeting with President Putin at his residence in Novo-Ogarevo. According to him, the Ministry of the Crimea has fulfilled its tasks. The Prime-Minister suggested also creating a governmental commission on the Crimea and Sevastopol affairs to provide for federal coordination and to reorganize correspondingly the existing state commission.

He answered the President’s question about minister Saveliev, saying that the latter could deal with practically the same work by joining the Government office and becoming the Commission Executive Secretary.

As Elena Lashkina, press-secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, told journalists, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is ready to fulfill the order of the Government and to deal with the issues of the Crimea’s development.
