Modern plant for building, finishing materials opens in Adygea

Today, at 16:00, the official opening of a modern enterprise, VOLMA-Maikop gypsum plant, took place in Kamennomost village located in the Russian Republic of Adygea.




Over 300 guests and VOLMA partners attended the event, including: representatives from the Adygea regional government, the Krasnodar and Orenburg regions, Belarus, as well as dealers, building companies, project developers, foreign delegation from Germany, China, France and Finland.

President of VOLMA Corporation, Alexander Malashkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VOLMA Managing Company LLC, Yury Goncharov, together with Head of the Republic of Adygea, Aslan Tkhakushinov, gave official start to the plant’s operation, having launched the production of dry construction mixes and gypsum partition blocks.

Erection of the plant producing construction materials with an investment amount of over 2 bln roubles is in the list of the most ambitious projects being implemented on Russia’s South.

The enterprise is equipped with the most advanced high-tech devices of the leading world manufacturers, has an unprecedented system of environment protection, what makes it to be one of the most eco-friendly facility in the country.

Construction of the plant was launched in 2014, following signing of an agreement of intentions in the field of investment activity with Head of the Republic of Adygea, Aslan Tkhakushinov, within the framework of the International Investment Forum in Sochi. In order to make the plant’s products competitive on the market, the company made a decision to localize it in the Maikop district, 20 km from a quarry, where raw materials, natural gypsum rock is supplied.

The build-up area of the facility amounts to 15,400 square meters. The enterprise’s manufacturing capacity are the following: 180,000 tons of gypsum dry mixes and 540,000 square meters of gypsum partition blocks per year. The whole production process is automated and is based on non-effluent technologies.

Filtration system ensures zero discharge in the air. Apart from that, a network of sheltered warehouses prevents from dust. VOLMA production is equal and in many ways exceeds qualitative characteristics of foreign analogues and in successfully involved into the import substitution process.
