The Japanese construction company Iida Sangyo is planning to invest $100 mln in building an assembly plant in the “Alaburg” Special Economic Zone, located in Tatarstan.

This statement was made at a briefing in the office of Tatarstan’s government by the head of the regional Fund for Investments and Ventures, Aynur Aydeldinov. For a start, the Japanese will sell 100 manufactured sets of houses in Tatarstan, in order to gain greater insight into the local market.

If there is the demand, the plant will be built. To remind you, the presentation by Iida Sangyo was held when the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, paid a visit to Japan.

Iida Sangyo’s share of the Japanese market for quick-mounting wooden houses amounts to 30%. If the project in Tatarstan is successful, the providers of plumbing equipment and wiring systems for Iida Sangyo will also get the opportunity to localize its production in “Alaburg”.
