Kazakhstan has started building a powerful plant for producing ammunition

On the 14th of March, the construction of an ammunition plant was started in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan.

 




As the press office of the Republican Ministry of Defense announced on its website, the enterprise will produce cartridges of the following calibers: 5.45*39 mm, 7.62*54 mm, 9*18 mm, and 9*19 mm.

The devices will be produced from the raw materials of local enterprises and will render over 680m tenge in tax revenues to the budget.

It is expected that the assembling and start-up work will be carried out at the plant in 2017. Production capacity will amount to 30m cartridges per year.

The construction site is located in the area of the “Saryarka” Special Economic Zone over an area of 25,400 m2.
