A deal with a contractor was struck in Volgograd to build a modern helicopter pad on the territory of the Emergency Call Service Hospital №25.
As Construction.ru was told by the regional press office, the contractor will start on the construction work as early as next week.
The helicopter pad is needed for emergency medical evacuations, for example, people who are injured in a road accident. Medical helicopters will take off and land, conveying severely ill people to the health centers.
The project is being implemented within the framework of preparations for the World Cup 2018.
17.3m roubles have been stipulated in the budget as being designated for the building of this important object. All work is planned to be completed by the end of 2016.
