Early on Wednesday, there was a fierce fire at a construction materials warehouse located in Belyaev Street in the Russian city of Kaluga.




According to the Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), a single-story building with an area of 1500 m2 caught fire.

There were no casualties and the fire had been localized by 5.39 a.m. Moscow time.

At present, a fire safety inspector, together with the regional MES emergency response groups, is working at the scene.

53 people and 17 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is being determined.

Kaluga is located southwest of Moscow. The city is one of the centers of the Russian automotive industry, with assembly plants in the area.
