Large coal terminal to be built in Russian Far East

The “Far East Development Corporation” has signed an agreement with an investor to construct the largest coal terminal in the Free Port of Vladivostok.




Within a period of five years, in Primorye – the region with the largest economy in the Russian Far East – the company will erect a coal terminal with a capacity of 20 mln tons per year.

The facility will be located in the Nakhodka urban district and the Partisansky district of the Primorye region, the press office of the “Far East Development Corporation” told Construction.ru on Wednesday.

Investments in the project is estimated at 60 bln roubles. There will be two stages of construction, the first of which will be completed by the second half of 2019. The second stage will be realized in the second half of 2021.

The terminal will be equipped with an open warehouse for 1.6m tons of coal and with a dock-side railway station.
