As it became knownon Friday, new defendants in the case of theft at the construction site of the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
Two more persons are suspected in committinga commercial bribery during the construction of the cosmodrome, RIA Novosti reports. The detained persons held key positions at the construction. The investigators intend to apply for custodial placement of them.
This very day, the court has sentenced a director general of the “Pacific Ocean Bridge Construction Company”, abbreviated to TMK CJSC, Igor Nesterenko, to three years of imprisonment for fraud at the Vostochny Cosmodrome construction site.
As Construction.RU was told by the press office of the Investigative Committee, from 2015 to 2015 the president of the TMK Board of Directors, together with Igor Nesterenko, have misappropriated about 104,5 m roubles of the company.
The fraudsters transferred the money to shell companies, after what spent them for their own needs.
Another suspect in the case, the president of the TMK Board of Directors, Sergei Yudin, hasn’t been convicted so far.
Vostochny Cosmodrome, located near the town of Tsiolkovsky, has been erected in the Amur region since 2012. The first launch from the cosmodrome was conducted on the 28th of April, 2016.
