On the 1st of May, International Workers’ Day, as broadly celebrated in Russia, passers-by came across the hanged corpse of a man on the beach of the Yenisei River. As was been revealed later, the dead body was the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Russian Republic of Khakassia, Alexander Krasnoslobodtsev. In the regional legislative body he represented the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia – the LDPR.

According to investigators, the primary lead in the death of the 36-year man is suicide for reasons of financial troubles in his family, the police press office told Construction.ru.

Before the late Alexander Krasnoslobodtsev was elected to the regional parliament, he had been director and owner of the “Krasal” and “Angarstroy” companies. However, for the last year, the companies’ operations had allegedly ceased to bring a return, whereas debts had been growing.

In the meantime, the corpse has been sent for forensic examination in order to establish the exact cause of death, since murder hasn’t been ruled out – the lawmaker didn’t leave a suicide note.
