The Moscow authorities have determined prospective areas for metro construction in Moscow.
In the north, the underground line will stretch towards the city of Korolev, in the north-east to Balashikha, in the west to Odintsovo and to the east to Kapotnya and Lyubertsy, the head of the Non-Surface Department of the Moscow City Architecture Committee, Maxim Vasiliev, told RIA Novosti.
These are the top priority areas of metro construction for the period from 2030 to 2040.
After the reconstruction, the Fili metro line might extend to the Mozhaysk district and then further to Skolkovo and Odintsovo. The project might be implemented by 2025, in which case the whole line will run underground.
